Whilst families have a role to play, as is quite rightly mentioned, so does the state. Operation Trident related to the Black community and there are issues within the Asian community. Police Leaders do not still wish to own the correlation between ethnicity and types of crime. Where these murders occur must indicate to us the levels of marginalisation in communities. What are we doing to tackle that marginalisation or do we just pick up the pieces and say it's a family issue? There are two sides to this argument.
